Employers, Feb. 28 was the deadline for sending us your EPS. File now. If you need help, written and video instructions are available on the WCB’s secure online platform. Sign in and submit your EPS through your WCB online account.
The WCB will not apply late filing penalties until April 1. The WCB is providing a one‑month grace period because of recent issues preventing some employers from accessing and submitting their EPS online.
Operational details
Poultry processing includes the slaughtering, dressing, and packing of poultry. Through a process using equipment such as; cleavers, cutting machines, knives, vats, conveying systems, and tray packaging equipment, poultry is slaughtered and eviscerated. The portioned or bulk cut pieces may be packaged on Styrofoam trays and shrink wrapped for sale. The finished pieces may also be wrapped in bulk or bag sizes.
The prime business function of poultry processing plants is to serve the wholesale distribution, and/or hotel, restaurant and institutional markets.
